So, this week I have admittedly
been on YouTube and Facebook more than this entire year, partly because I am
about to go back to the US for the summer, and partly because Grad School is
OUT FOR SUMMER (sing with me now), but seriously.
While roaming around
on this vast and never ending website of wonderful things, of terrible things,
of great performers and drunk performers, friends, nobody’s, and a crazy assortment
of things I quite honestly never thought about before and possibly never want
to think about again.
I came across something called Project Toasty.
Now you may be asking,
what is Project Toasty Raelynne? Well, if you don’t already know it is an
amazing not for profit organization that promotes people being Creative and Emotionally Healthy at the same time. Founded and created by one girl: Arielle. Which is in itself absolutely amazing.
So, I decided to get
involved and I participated in my first project. However, I am behind on the
projects having just discovered this and all the submissions have been submitted already. But I figured what
the hell, and I did it anyway - just for me. Which I think is exactly the point
Project Toasty is getting at.
There are tons of
different crazy projects, like find the perverted scenes in Disney movies, draw
yourself as a cartoon character, take a photo and have people guess where you
are, and tons of other awesome fun projects that range from extremely easy, to
emotionally challenging, to simply creative!
And now, here is my
photo for the "get rid of 100 negative objects" challenge!!
The hardest thing to get rid of was the socks, as you know I had almost 100 pairs of socks, and I seriously need to stop. |
I actually found it really hard to find 100 things to get rid of, as I moved to Madrid and did a crazy ran-sacking of all of my stuff before I moved here, and didn't come with many things. But somehow these little negative energy emitters found their way across the Atlantic to haunt me. I threw some other junk away, papers, plastic crap I didn't know what was and things like that- I really didn't feel the need to post those things in the picture, but it was also good to go through them and throw them away.
The whole thing was in in response to on of the Project Toasty episodes, which you can find here.
Maybe if you like the
thought of this and want to do fun exciting creative things - you can too!
I don’t usually
promote things, but I felt so relieved after participating in this activity, I
just wanted to share it with all my friends and family.
I love you guys!
